The Bible, the canon of Scripture, is God�s written revelation of Himself and His plan for humanity. But this sacred text has not always appeared as we have it today, complete with neatly printed and bound pages. There is a history behind the Book itself.

Canon: The Story Behind God�s Written Word looks at how the Bible originated from God, how it was preserved and passed down through the centuries, and how it became the most influential book ever published. Some pressing questions will be addressed along the way: Who chose the sixty-six books that make up our Canon? Is the Apocrypha actually a part of the Canon? Is the King James Version a good translation? For the student of Bible doctrine, a knowledge of the historical formation of the Word of God is a source of strength to defend against the numerous attacks upon the authenticity and authority of the Bible.
